The waist size was pretty much exact and there is no give/stretch. I regret my size medium because it exactly fits in the waist and then it the bottom buttons wont clip in because my ass is bigger than my waist. I recommend buying this thing to fit your ass instead of your waist..... and then just wearing a belt around your waist. The material is lighter than I imagined..... for some reason I envisioned a khaki type material.... but it seems to be strong and wrinkle resistant which it great.

I touhgt it , the kilt, would be more heavy duty, after seeing the photo, but because of the summer over here, in the end this light weight, very well constructed garment, is doing quite well.... thank you so much......running around with a free breeze.......merci beaucoup!
