I love this dress! I have trouble with ballroom practice wear because I am petite 5’2” and short waisted with fairly long legs. The waist never falls at the right place so I have to wear a belt and fold the material and/or the skirt is too long and catches on my heel. But this dress is proportioned perfectly! No alterations necessary! The fabric has a very nice weight, also, which makes it flow beautifully. But pay attention to the measurements in the size chart I’m 5’2” and 115 pounds with a petite build, and ordered a Size Large. If you give up your vanity and order according to their measurements, you’ll be rewarded with a perfect fitting dress that you’ll be happy with. The only downside is that you have to be patient and understand these garments come from China so they won’t reach the U.S. overnight. It took almost 3-1/2 weeks to arrive to me on the east coast, so order at least a month before you actually need it to be safe. My order came packed beautifully with each garment in an individual zippered bag and an additional small garment tote for my use. I always launder my clothing before wearing it anyway, but it was nice that this didn’t have any kind of strange, funky smell.

Material is the the best and the color are amazing

This is an excellent all-around "little" black dress that one can wear at almost any occasion. Its not just for dancing....great for cocktail parties, wedding dates, the theater, etc. The material is soft and wrinkle-resistant, so its a great dress to pack on trips, too. Endless possibilities for accessorizing - pearls, scarves, a light bolero, etc. This will be my go-to dresss whenever I think I have "nothing to wear" to a special occasion.
