After a long and unsuccessful search for a short green, cut-to-size LED strip for my plexiglass engraving, I stumbled upon this product and I am extremely satisfied with it! The LEDs of the two 50cm long non-waterproof tapes ordered all work flawlessly and, in contrast to other conventional green LEDs, are incredibly bright. Therefore, we strongly advise against looking directly the LEDs for long periods of time and not in the vicinity of the switched-on light source look. It is also best not to use it as the only light source for direct lighting in the dark. The adhesive strip on the underside of the tape sticks well to a wide variety of surfaces and was not dried out. What I particularly like about this product is not only that the strip is evenly equipped with LEDs, but also that after each LED a point is marked where you can cut about every 1.67cm, which does not leave any protruding residues or creates large areas of unlit areas at the place of use. In addition, this results in very practical lengths, e.g. you get a 10cm long strip if you cut after 6 LEDs. In addition, it is positive that the product is available in different lengths and also waterproof, which further expands the area of application. Another highlight is the on / off switch, with which the LED strip can be easily switched on and off at any time. In my opinion, the best thing about this LED strip is the USB connection. Thanks to this, the product is very versatile and particularly suitable for things like plexiglass engravings, as it can be connected to a PC or a mobile phone power supply for local permanent operation. If the 1m long cable is too short, it can be easily extended to the desired length with the USB extension cables available everywhere without soldering etc. If the place of use is remote from the socket or is changed frequently, it can also simply be connected to a power bank, which enables great mobility, makes the purchase of batteries or a dedicated extra power pack superfluous and makes operation uncomplicated. An LED strip with so many advantages for the price deserves 5 stars! : D Highly recommend it, I would buy it again in a heartbeat if needed.
