The product has a clear glass shell and the filament glows with more of a traditional white-ish glow which is to say not orange. This is exactly what I was looking for. Most lights of this type aka Edison Bulb sold at the big box stores are advertised as "Amber" glowing which I dont prefer. Thank you Hudson Lighting for providing a quality light product at a value price!
