Its light but sturdy. There is a pocket inside with a velcro strap, 2 side pockets small for keys or money with zippers, and 2 front pockets big and small with zippers. The straps are strong but I would not use it to carry school books or anything too heavy. I love it. Its perfect for what I need it for..
